Prep Time
This recipe takes about 10 minutes of prep time. You’ll need to chop the onion, mince the garlic, and cut the chicken into cubes before you start. Once you’ve prepped your ingredients, the rest is easy!
Cook Time
This Instant Pot Chicken Fettuccine takes only 25 minutes to cook in the Instant Pot. All of the ingredients cook together in one pot, so you don’t have to worry about stirring or watching the pot. Plus, the pressure cooker helps to lock in all of the flavor and moisture, making this dish even more delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 pound chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 (16 ounce) package fettuccine noodles
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
1. Start by pressing the “saute” button on your Instant Pot. Add the olive oil, onion, and garlic and saute until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes. Add the chicken, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper and cook until the chicken is lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
2. Add the Worcestershire sauce, chicken broth, and fettuccine noodles. Stir to combine, making sure the noodles are submerged in the liquid. Close the lid and make sure the vent is in the “sealing” position. Press the “manual” button and set the timer for 4 minutes.
3. When the timer is done, carefully release the pressure from the Instant Pot. Open the lid and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Close the lid and let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to allow the noodles to absorb some of the liquid.
4. When the 10 minutes is up, open the lid and stir the mixture. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit more chicken broth until it reaches your desired consistency. Serve the Chicken Fettuccine with some freshly chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.
