Ingredients

  • 4 lbs bone-in short ribs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Season short ribs with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in Instant Pot on Saute mode. Add short ribs and brown on all sides.
  3. Remove short ribs and set aside. Add onion and garlic to Instant Pot. Saute until onion is soft, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add beef broth, red wine, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and bay leaves and stir to combine.
  5. Return short ribs to Instant Pot. Lock lid and set timer to 60 minutes.
  6. When timer goes off, allow pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes. Then quick release remaining pressure.
  7. Carefully remove short ribs from Instant Pot and serve.

Notes
